God Is Still In Control!
By lynnhamilton [136 Karma] on May 21, 2009 / 08:16:01pm Post #001
Blessings Of Peace For All Mothers!
My prayer daily is that God Bless all of you with strenght and peace, His peace, because with those two to start your day will take you through that day.
Also, take one day at a time.Try to find happiness even if you do what I do and watch Americas Most Funniest Videos and laugh loud. When the world weighs heavy on me, thats what I do to take a break from it. Find something that can give your mind rest from the burden of the heart break of your son. Please ladies!, this is a way of survival for you. Whatever that will give you that break.............take it!

Thank you Lynn. We all need to take your advise. Sometimes we need to just take a deep breath and relax.

God bless you and thank you so much!

When deciding where to put this post, I thought about Thanksgiving and then saw, "God is Still in Control". I pray for each of us to remember this simple truth. My son did make it, finally, to a facility close to home.
1 1/2 hours away. For this I am thankful. We attended a compentancy hearing for him. Which only told us he was O.K. to make decisions, and understand what is going on. Bail was also mentioned, but this will be addressed next week, we were told. First, a while ago, we were told he would not be able to get out on bail, now it's a maybe. If he has a place to live, he does. If he has something productive to do while he's out, etc..., and if we post bond. My husband is willing to put our house up for him. We can't afford it any other way. So we will post bond if allowed. I don't know what is best for my son, emotionally.... He has never adjusted to change well. I worry about a lot of things. Please pray with me that God's perfect will, will be done in the life of my son. I have no idea what is best for him, but I know God knows the future, not me, and he certainly knows what is best.

We had a nice Thanksgiving. I did bake a turkey, had creamed potatoes, stuffing, greenbeans, and pumpkin pie. Our family, 9 of us here, each made an ornament for the tree. Afterwards we put up our Christmas tree.
New tree, different ornaments, mostly. I am having a very hard time, bringing out the traditional Christmas decorations we have used each year, since my son was just a little boy. I think most of them will stayed packed away, unless he is indeed able to come home, then out they come.

Waiting, that's the hard part...........
