Hello Everyone, I an new to this site because my son will be going to prison soon. For how long I am unsure. This fear is so over whelming, he is not even there yet and I have no idea how to cope, anyway I am glad I found this site. kelljo3

Kelljo3 Welcome to MWSIP! We are happy to have you as apart of our family. I am so sorry that you have to go thru this experience, but all we are here to help make it a little easier for you to bear. No one understands what we go thru when our sons are taking away from us. Your son has not made it to prison yet is diffinately a scary feeling but he will get thru it as you will. What I tell all MWSIP is what will help them and us is lots and lots of prayer. God will do some amazing things for you and your son. Your first step is to believe that he will and he will. Your prayers will cover alot such as safety, protection, a sound mind for you and him ,and the list goes on. You cannot afford to stop praying for him. How old is your son? I will pray for him as well. What state are you in? Continue to come back to the site and let us know whats going on with him as well as how you are doing. If theres any legal advice we can give you, we would be happy to lead you in directions that you are unaware of. I check this forum everyday so you are not alone. I f you need to speak to me over the telephone, my contact number is on the contact page of the front page. I know how you are feeling, but you have to talk to people who will and are walking down that same road that you are.Yes the fear of your son going to prison can be overwhemling if you don't controll it.Try as hard as you can not to let it take over your mind. Just talk about it as much as you can, it will help you. I will be standing by for you waiting to hear from you again by phone or this forum. Take one day at a time. I'm hurt that my son James is going to prison. He's only 19 years old. He received 3 years for felony drug dealing. It hit me like a truck. I'm grieving and cannot stop crying. Will we ever ever get over this and move on with life? Our lives will never be the same? I'm scared for both of us. I love my son, James. He acted cool about it today at our visit in jail. I NEED PRAYERS to get through and even past this. It feels RIGHT NOW just like a sword right through my heart. Sandy 22 Blue.

Hi Sandy! I just read your story. I know how it feels. My son is 23 and he got 15 months,but in the newspaper last night I saw that they are charging him with something else, taking a motor vehicle. So I don't know what will happen. I drive past the prison, where my son is ,every day to pray. I will take you you and your precious boy with me in my prayers and thoughts. God Bless

Blessings Sandy! Thank-you for visiting with MWSIP, we are happy to have you come to the site and post. First I'd like to say we all here feel your pain, hurt, fear, frustration, etc.We are experienceing the same exact things that you are. Though my son has been out of prison for eight years and is doing very well, but I must make myself available for those such as yourself who are presently going thru this nightmare. However, I must bring you hope by saying it does get better, and your life will resume itself after this is over.The only advice I can give you at this point is take one day at a time, pray for strenght for yourself as well as peace, and come here and write all of your feelings, it helps! hello everyone its been awhile but beleive me i havent forgotten any of u just had problems posting the last time i was waiting to have a family visit with my son, i did have my visit infact i had 3 family visits and they were great i cant explane how good it felt to cook eat a meal with him watch him playing with his kids just dont seem long enough. but maybe he will get 16hrs next time, i cant beleive it has been 2yrs already he put in for his parol plan last week i am afraid for him to come home to this town and i think he is to he was gonna go with his dad but he desided to come home im just wondering does anyone know what i need to expect or if there is something i need to do for this parol plan i ndont know whats next all i know is he told me he put in for my house to all of u dont give up and just write and pray for them and it will be ok god bless u all and i continue to pray for u all lupe

hello everone its me lupe i kmow i havent been on mush just real busy still im still working 7days a week 16hr shifts i think it keeps me from going insane ive really been missing my son alot havent been able to talk to him at all its been 3weeks and he treid calling tonight but my phone was dead go fiqure. well i get a family visit this weekend cant wait its been 2months since ive seen him its so hard when u cant just pick up the phone to say hi but he did put in his parol plan last month and im not sure what to expect next does anyone know if there is something i should be doing please let me know if there is u are all in my prayers may god bless u all i wish i could hug eac h and everyone of u lupe

God Bless You Precious Lupe! It's good to hear from you again I want to know, how in the world do you make it working 16 hours a day? My goodness! I don't know how you do it. You are a very hard working woman. I would be flat on my face if I had to work like that. How do you have time to do anything but sleep? It seems your life is consumed with work. Do you get a chance to see your son? What is your daily activities if you don't mind me asking, and I will make some suggestions as to what you can possibly do to help you. God bless you sweet lady!
